Continued long delivery times for computers and computer accessories
There are still long delivery times for computers and computer accessories and the problems seem to persist throughout the year. There is currently a major shortage of components, which affects the manufacture of computer screens. Both stand-alone computer monitors and equipment with built-in monitors such as laptops are affected by the lack of components. The situation is also affected by logistics problems caused by, among other things, container shortages and the ship blockage in the Suez Canal. Good foresight is therefore needed when ordering. If you need new equipment, the order should be made as soon as possible.
Clas Ohlsson receives continued funding as a Wallenberg Clinical Scholar
Professor Claes Ohlsson receives an additional SEK 15 million over five years within the Wallenberg Clinical Scholar program, following an evaluation by the Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation. Up to 60 percent of those who were originally named Wallenberg Clinical Scholars receive an extension. Together with his colleagues at Sahlgrenska Osteoporosis Center, Claes Ohlsson conducts completely unique research on osteoporosis and bone fractures. In collaboration with other researchers, he has discovered how genetics, environmental factors and the body’s bacterial flora together affect bone mass and the risk of suffering a fracture. The knowledge can lead to biomarkers to identify patients who are at high risk of fractures as well as drug targets for fractures.
