“Provsamlingar Väst” is now being launched, where research sample collections registered in Biobank Väst, a regional biobank for the Västra Götaland region, are listed. It lists the research sample collections that have been approved for publication by the person responsible for the sample collection. The hope is that the collections of biobank samples will lead to more and new research collaborations, speed up research processes and make it easier for researchers to find sample collections relevant to their research. In April 2021, there were just over 350 sample collections in “Provsamlingar Väst”, which researchers and companies across the country can benefit from in research studies.
