Akademiliv (‘Academy Life’) is Sahlgrenska Academy’s online staff newspaper with news and information about current seminars, conferences, submissions and skills development.
Akademiliv covers Sahlgrenska Academy’s activities with the goal of portraying life at the Academy. Our ambition is to get close to the employees, and we provide editorial advice and support to employees who themselves want to contribute to the contents of Akademiliv.
Akademiliv is published by the Communications Department at Sahlgrenska Academy. The opinions expressed in Akademiliv are not necessarily the official positions of the faculty or the university.
Newsletter
Every week, the editorial staff sends a newsletter with current contents. The newsletter functions as a placard for Akademiliv’s website, and therefore only offers a selection of the contents of the Akademiliv website. The recipients of the newsletter are employees at Sahlgrenska Academy or those with another connection to our faculty.
We continuously update our recipient lists to include new employees, and discard staff that is no longer working at the faculty. We only handle your email address and your name, and will not save any other information about you. Those who are not employed may also subscribe to our newsletter. Ask the editor if you want to register or unsubscribe from the Academic newsletter.

Rules for comments
We would really like you to make your voice heard with us. Your opinions and comments enrich the editorial content in Akademiliv. The comments should be of a high quality. Keep in mind to maintain a respectful tone, use civilized language and stick to the subject. Use of an anonymous signature is not prohibited, but we recommend you to write under your own name. The comments may not contain slander, personal attacks, hate speech, sexual statements and other forms of harassment. Advertising, cursing, pornography, portrayals of violence, incitement to commit crime and illicit use of copyrighted materials are also not permitted.
All comments are reviewed by the editorial staff before publication. If you submit a comment outside of regular office hours, there may be a bit of a delay before it becomes visible. The editorial staff reserves the right to not publish comments without special justification. Anyone who writes a comment that violates the law can be held personally responsible.
English translation
It is our ambition that non Swedish-speaking employees should be able to get an overview of what’s going on at the faculty. Much of the contents on Akademiliv are translated to English. However, the English version of Akademiliv is not an exact copy of the Swedish website.
