Nils Lycke and Ann-Mari Svennerholm get 30 and 25 million respectively from the Swedish Foundation for Strategic Research.

VR: International top researchers to be recruited to Sweden

The Swedish Research Council now announces SEK 150 million to give Swedish universities the opportunity to recruit top international researchers.
– This is a step to further improve the already high quality of Swedish research, says Director General of the Swedish Research Council Mille Millnert.

SSF: Almost SEK 1000 000 000 to Swedish Research this year

Swedish Foundation for Strategic research, SSF, will open calls of a total of SEK 695 million in the five different research programs, including the life sciences. That’s an increase of nearly SEK 100 million, compared to what the foundation usually calls . This fall SSF plans open a call for another SEK 250 million for life science research in biomarkers.

Petronella Kettunen to recieve funding from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation.

Can zebrafish provide the key to new treatments for Alzheimer’s disease? Petronella Kettunen hopes so. She will now receive SEK 1.75 million from the Torsten Söderberg Foundation for a unique research project.
