Changed pedagogical requirements for future Associate Professors at Sahlgrenska Academy
The Faculty Board has decided to change the requirements regarding pedagogical competence for associate professorships. The requirements for formal pedagogical education have been adapted so that they are in harmony with other medical faculties in Sweden. At the same time, the opportunities to validate pedagogical experience have increased. The background is that application rate for the higher education pedagogical courses at the University of Gothenburg is increasing, without there being an opportunity to provide more courses. Also with regard to teaching activities, the associate professorship rules have changed, where bed-side teaching and lectures to the public have been clarified. Docenturkommittén (The Assiociate Professorship Committee) has updated its website. There is a new application form and a new form for compiling teaching.
