New policy for information security at the university

29 February, 2024

The vice-chancellor has decided on a new policy for information security at the university. The policy is an overall regulation of the principles regarding information security on which the university’s work should be based, as well as responsibilities and roles.

The policy is part of the information security management system that is currently being developed. The plan is to in the next step develop a new information classification model and to work on specifying roles and responsibilities throughout the organization. In 2024, all governing documents on IT and information security will be reviewed and updated to ensure a high standard.

  • Practical rules on information security are regulated in “Regulations for IT security”. The policy and the regulations are available in Swedish and English and found here: Security policy documents
  • For practical advice on how you as an individual employee can protect yourself against cyberattacks and contribute to a secure IT environment, see the following presentation: Seven good tips to stay Cyber Security Safe
  • The tips are also available on the following page here in the Staff Portal: Information Security

The information security work is led by the university’s CISO (Chief Information Security Officer) Mathilda Perisa, who since the turn of the year is placed in the new Legal Affairs and Information Management Unit.

New films provide answers on how to work with transitions in healthcare

29 February, 2024

How does a transition coordinator work? What is important to understand about youths who are about to take responsibility for their own care? Within the research project Stepstones, the crucial transition from pediatric to adult healthcare for patients with chronic conditions such as type one diabetes and congenital heart defects is studied. Now, researchers have developed a series of films that describe this important process, which requires preparation, participation, and self-determination. These films showcase different perspectives of the evidence-based transition programs currently being tested and evaluated at various hospitals in Sweden.
