Seven researchers in Gothenburg received a grant from The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation

GRANTS. Seven researchers in Gothenburg was endorsed for their applications to The Swedish Childhood Cancer Foundation. One of the researchers who receive grants are Anders Ståhlberg, Associate Professor of Molecular Medicine. His research projects was awarded SEK 600 000 over two years to develop an accurate method to monitor treatment and detect relapses in patients with Ewing’s sarcoma, a rare form of bone cancer. All white university mailboxes have been removed

MAIL. The white mailboxes that were previously used for external mail with bar code have been removed. The university envelopes with bar codes are now to be handled by the regular postal service. In case of urgent mail, please bring your mail to the national postal service’s yellow mailboxes for late collection, located at Kruthusgatan 19 at Stampen in central Gothenburg. Swedish-Chinese research collaboration receives support from the Swedish Research Council

Cadmium increases risk of fractures

DOCTORAL THESIS. People who are exposed to higher levels of cadmium have an increased risk of osteoporosis and fractures. Cadmium also affects the kidneys.
