MANAGEMENT ASSIGNMENTS. On December 18, the Elector Assembly appointed Agnes Wold from the Sahlgrenska Academy, Rikard Bergqvist from the School of Business, Economics and Law, and Staffan Lindberg from the Faculty of Social Sciences as new representative of the teachers on the University Board. The mandate period is January 1, 2016 to December 31, 2018.
Agnes Wold, Professor of Clinical Bacteriology at the Institue of Biomedicine, does research on the normal intestinal bacterial flora and its interaction with the immune system. She teaches in , supervices doctoral students, and is Head of the Department of infectious diseases. She alos does clinical work as a consultant.
Rickard Bergqvist is Professor of Logistics and Transport Economics at the Department of Business Administration. His current research is focused on regional logistics, inland terminals, port commutes and establishment processes for intermodal terminals. He teaches at all levels of education at the School Business, Economics and Law and and is director of the Graduate School.
Staffan Lindberg is Professor of Political Science at the Department of Political Science. His research field is democratization and elections with a special focus on Africa. He is Director of V-dem Institute, the headquarters of Varieties of Democracy, and is a teacher and mentor for students and graduate students.
Appointed group alternates are Alexandra Weilenmann, Department of Applied IT at the IT Faculty and Christian Munthe, Department of Philosophy, Linguistics and Theory of Science at the Faculty of Arts.
