Substantial award from Swedish Research Council’s call for register-based research proposals

GRANTS. Annika Rosengren and Bright Nwaru are to receive SEK 13 million each for their research projects in the Swedish Research Council’s register-based research call. The money will generate new knowledge of several major common diseases, including cardiovascular diseases, diabetes, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD). SSMF scholarships awarded to three young researchers

GRANTS. The Swedish Society for Medical Research (SSMF) has awarded 26 postdoctoral scholarships to young researchers. New findings on B cells in gut vital for vaccine research

Speech impairment and more surgery in five-year-old international adoptees with cleft palate

NEW STUDY. In a group of internationally adopted children with cleft lip and/or palate, speech at age five is impaired compared to a corresponding group of children born in Sweden, a study shows.
