25 years of intestinal transplantation & rehabilitation at Sahlgrenska University Hospital: Past, present and future

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of the first Swedish multivisceral transplant, and our unit’s establishment as a full-scale multidisciplinary intestinal failure center, the Transplantation Center in collaboration with the Sahlgrenska Intestinal Failure & Transplant Center (SIFT) is organizing a two-day symposium on May 22-23, 2023, in Gothenburg .

The meeting is aimed at gastroenterologists, intestinal and transplant surgeons, dieticians and nurses with an interest in the care of patients with intestinal failure, both in pediatric and adult healthcare.

The meeting has a transplant focus, but also deals with new medical and surgical treatment options for intestinal failure. The main purpose of the meeting is to provide a broad overview of the different treatment options for this patient group as well as an insight into organizational aspects of intestinal failure care in different countries.

National and international experts invited from Argentina, Belgium, Finland and the USA participate in the scientific program.
