Viktor Skantze conducts research in the area of precision nutrition or ”personalized nutrition”. The goal is to develop data- and model driven methods that facilitates the tailoring of diets at an individual level. Individuals respond differently to the same diet and personalized nutrition takes advantage of that to provide diet to optimize health for the individual. Moreover, people with specific conditions or disorders such as diabetes and IBS may have further advantages from rom a personalized diet. Viktor has an industrial PhD student position and shares his time between Fraunhofer – Chalmers Centre and Chalmers university of technology.
