This prize will be awarded a young scientist who has made exceptional contributions in the field of medical genetics. The prize recipient is expected to be in the early stage of her/his independent researcher career and be based in one of the Nordic countries.
About the prize: The prize was launched to honor the life work of Professor Albert de la Chapelle – who passed away in December 2020. Amount: 20.000 Euro.
The recipient of the prize will be announced in a scientific symposium organized on June 9th 2022 to honor the 60 years of medical genetics research at Samfundet Folkhälsan. The recipient is expected to give a lecture in the symposium.
Professors at Sahlgrenska Academy can nominate. The proposal for nomination should include a short motivation letter, the candidate’s CV (maximum 3 pages long) and a publication list, all the documents in a single pdf-file. Please, send the file to:
