The Faculty’s Nomination Committee proposes that the current Vice Dean Henrik Hagberg will continue on this assignment until 31 December 2023. A consultative election will be conducted among the Faculty’s employees. Previous pension rules meant that the term of office for Henrik Hagberg did not run as long as for Dean Agneta Holmäng, but changes in the rules now make it possible for him to have a new term of office.
Employees are encouraged to use their vote in the election, which will take place electronically during the period 21 February to 4 March. More information before the election will come.
Manual transcription service in GU Play
By law, films published on the university’s websites must have subtitles. As an employee you already have been able to perform a machine transcription of video and audio files in GU Play. The service is now supplemented with the option to purchase professional manual transcription. If you choose the manual, your film will be subtitled by a professional transcriber. In the mechanical, it is an AI that listens to the sound in the film and tries to determine what is being said, which requires some post-processing. Manual transcription costs SEK 40 per minute film / sound. To order the service, a special authorization is required.
