Flu drug most beneficial to severely ill and older people

Other people regain their health one day sooner, on average, with the same treatment. ERC Consolidator Grant to diabetes researcher Anders Rosengren

GRANTS. Anders Rosengren, a diabetes researcher at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, is one of the recipients of the ERC Consolidator Grant for his research on type 2 diabetes. New findings on satiety signaling from intestine

STUDY. A previously unknown mechanism that suppresses satiety signals from the small intestine is the main finding of a new study. This may explain, first, satiety disorders in obesity and diabetes and, second, the prompt health effects of gastric bypass, a form of bariatric surgery. New 3R method to estimate lifespans developed by researchers in Gothenburg

University of Gothenburg reports first successful results of the oral, inactivated vaccine candidate ETVAX against enterotoxigenic E. coli diarrhea in a placebo-controlled phase I/II study in infants and children from 6 months to 5 years of age in Bangladesh.
