Current construction information for Medicinareberget – work in Medicinarelängan may cause more noise

3 December, 2019

CONSTRUCTION INFORMATION. Here you find an overview of construction activities during the next few weeks that may affect you on different locations on Medicinareberget, not just where blasting takes place. In December and January work in Medicinarelängan may at some times lead to increased noise. All three weeks the trucks will use the north gate close to EBM for both entry and exit. Thursday, December 12, the spare blast time at 15:00 may be used to divide some boulders. During weeks 52 and 1 the groundwork of the new premises for the Faculty of Science closes down for the holiday. If you have any questions about the construction activities, please email medicinareberget@gu.se.

WEEK 49, December 2 – 6.

MODULES AT LUNDBERG LABORATORY
Modules have been put up on the parking lot outside Lundberg laboratory. They are a part of the solution for replacement premises for the functions that need to move out from Medicinarelängan. The current work focuses on installations and the interior along with the construction of a passage connecting th modules with the building. The mobile crane is removed in week 49.

New premises for the Faculty of Science

After a number of blasts close to Nya Forsken, outloading will follow in this area. The reinforcement work on the rock wall continues assisted by the excavator. Metal rods are mounted into drilled holes in the rock wall. One blast will take place on the road toward the south gate. In parallel, preparations for clearing the surface and drilling near the EBM media central are carried out. This is where major parts of the blasting in December will take place.
Blasting in week 49 will take place Tuesday and Thursday at 12.30  as usual with reserve times at 15.00 on the same days.

WEEK 50, December 9 – 13.
