Nearly 78 percent of the voters said yes to Magnus Simrén as Pro-Dean

The drafting committee’s proposal to appoint Magnus Simrén as Pro-Dean received support from 77.9 percent of the voters. The voter turnout was 43.1 percent. Out of the 552 valid votes, 116 (21 percent) were blank votes. Six votes were cast for other candidates (Karin Ahlberg 1, Jan Borén 2, Lars-Gunnar Petersson 2, Henrik Zetterberg 1). At the latest decision meeting, Acting Vice-Chancellor Carina Mallard decided to appoint Jenny Nyström as the next dean of Sahlgrenska Academy. The six-year term starts on January 1, 2024, until the end of 2029.
