Formal Vice-Chancellor’s decision: Jenny Nyström to become the next Dean of Sahlgrenska Academy

At the latest decision meeting, Acting Vice-Chancellor Carina Mallard decided to appoint Jenny Nyström as the next dean of Sahlgrenska Academy. The six-year term starts on January 1, 2024, until the end of 2029. Jenny Nyström’s appointment, negotiated under the MBL (Act on Co-determination in the Workplace) on October 31, follows the faculty election result, where 85.1 percent of voters (with a 49.69 percent voter turnout) endorsed the election committee’s proposal. The pro-dean election results will be announced soon, followed by another Vice-Chancellor’s decision.
