The Biomedical Laboratory Science Program establishes partnership with Japan’s Health Sciences University of Hokkaido

The Biomedical Laboratory Science Program has partnered with Japan’s Health Sciences University of Hokkaido. The Institute of Odontology initiated collaboration withe the Japanese university, building on a strong foundation established by the dean and clinic chief, both former doctoral candidates in periodontology at the Institute of Odontology. A recent graduate from Health Sciences University of Hokkaido also defended their thesis at the Institute of Odontology in Gothenburg. Representatives from Hokkaido visited last spring to discuss exchange program details with The Biomedical Laboratory Science Program. The plan is to offer a brief student exchange, providing insights into healthcare in another country.
