Research Council Introduces International Career Grant

One of the Research Council’s new announcements next year is International Career Grant that caters to researchers early in their careers, who want to work for a longer period at a university in another country in order to develop as a researcher and research manager . The call opens in February.

Curie: The art of finding groundbreaking research

How good is peer review as a method for finding research that truly breaks new ground and changes the world? And how can the method evolve to become better and safer? Research Council’s journal Curie interviewed Terttu Luukonen, Finland, who has studied the process of peer review by the ERC.

The Swedish Research Council visits the Sahlgrenska Academy in December

21 October, 2013

Shortly The Swedish Research Council initiates a round trip to the Swedish faculties engaged in medical research for a discussion with faculty management, junior faculty, or the equivalent, and open meetings for researchers. The Council will visit the Sahlgrenska Academy on Thursday December 19. The open meeting will be held in Swedish.

Curie: Peer review will raise the quality of research

The government wants to introduce a new model for distributing a portion of the direct funding for universities. The Swedish Research Council has been asked to develop a proposal based on peer review to improve research quality.

VR’s announcement comes November 4th

Monday, November 4, the Swedish Research Council grant decisions in medicine and health will be announced.
