Curie: Peer review will raise the quality of research
The government wants to introduce a new model for distributing a portion of the direct funding for universities. The Swedish Research Council has been asked to develop a proposal based on peer review to improve research quality.
– We need to construct an evaluation model that really promotes research quality and impact, rather than the volume. And that doesn’t mean that too much research time is eaten up by evaluations, says Director General of Mille Millnert the Swedish Research Council’s journal Curie.
