Research Council Introduces International Career Grant
One of the Research Council’s new announcements next year is International Career Grant that caters to researchers early in their careers, who want to work for a longer period at a university in another country in order to develop as a researcher and research manager . The call opens in February.
For the universities grant provides opportunities for strategic recruitment and training of researchers .
Who can apply ?
You can apply for International Career Grant in all disciplines and both if you work at a Swedish university and want to work abroad, or vice versa if you are working abroad and want to move to Sweden. Your doctorate must be between two and seven years old at the deadline.
Leadership training included
The grant period for the International Career Grant is 3-4 years. At least two -thirds of the grant period, you should be working at a university in a country other than the one you worked in the last two years. The grant includes salary and project grants and also leadership training. Part of the application shall consist of a career development plan where your university is involved .
