Swedish Research Council awards SEK 121 million for health and medical studies

GRANTS The University of Gothenburg has received just over SEK 121 million from the Swedish Research Council’s large funding opportunity. A distinct improvement from last year, the announcement meant that Gothenburg once again obtained the second highest award of all universities that participated. The SEK 121 million earmarked for the University of Gothenburg represented 15% of the total funds awarded for health and medical research. Last year’s figures was 13%.…

Prestigious NIH grant to Lena Carlsson

Taking pain research from the general population level to the clinic

GRANT. Stefan Bergman, who was recently recruited as lecturer in general medicine, received nearly six million SEK from AFA Insurance’s call for proposals within chronic pain.
