NOMINATION. The Sahlgrenska Academy’s new presentation brochure produced last year has been nominated for a Swedish communications award (Svenska Publishing-Priset). This competition is Sweden’s oldest and most comprehensive communications competition.
The new presentation material about the Sahlgrenska Academy was produced in 2014 in collaboration with advertising agency Frank & Earnest. The brochure, which highlights the Academy’s distinguished research, has now been nominated for the Svenska Publishing-Priset.
“It feels great. There was an urgent need for management to create a modern, international and up-to-date presentation of the Academy’s activities and I think we’ve succeeded well in doing that. It’s particularly pleasing that so many people were involved in the project – from among our management, research community and international coordinators,” says Krister Svahn of the Communications department.
Over 1,000 copies of the brochure on the Sahlgrenska Academy have so far been distributed and it is now in its second print run. The brochure is available on Swedish and English and free of charge for employees to give away to their visitors and other contacts. The brochure is also given to new students at the Sahlgrenska Academy.
This year’s winners of the award will be announced at the Svenska Publishing Gala, to be held on Monday 9 November at Musikaliska concert hall in downtown Stockholm.
The Sahlgrenska Academy’s brochure is competing in the Information printed matter category. Among the other nominees are ICA Sweden and Sweden’s National Veterinary Institute.

About the award
Svenska Publishing-Priset is awarded by Populär Kommunikation for commendable editorial communications and marketing communications. It is Sweden’s most comprehensive communications award, covering all established forms of communications, and has been awarded annually since the early 1990s.
The jury assesses the whole product – not just its design. The jury consists of communications experts currently active in their fields such as photographers, graphic designers, film producers, journalists and editors. They review, evaluate and compare entries, which are judged based on a number of different aspects.
