On February 5, the award “For Zealous and Devoted Service of the Realm” (NoR) was distributed at the University of Gothenburg. The award is given to those employees who have been employed in government service for 30 years, or 25 years in retirement.
NoR ceremony was held in the auditorium at the main building, University of Gothenburg. Music was provided by students from the School of Music and Drama. Vice Chancellor Pam Fredman gave a speech and employees received engraved gifts. Thereafter a buffet was served. 58 employees accepted the gift, of which 18 belong to one of the Academy’s institutions or equivalent.
The gold medal For Zealous and Devoted Service of the Realm, with King Carl XVI Gustaf in profile, the most common distributed reward medal in Sweden. Those who do not want a medal may instead choose a gold watch, a crystal bowl or a piece of jewelry.
