Six researchers associated with the University of Gothenburg receive funding for an international postdoc. The Swedish Research Council has now published the decision on its website. However , only a notification by mail is a guarantee for payment.
The Swedish Research Council, VR, has taken the decision on which applications will be granted, for the International postdoc in spring 2013.

Deadline for applications for VR’s call International postdoc in 2013 was on February 26 this year. A total of 219 applications were received and 42 of these were granted, that about one in five, or 19 percent. Of the applicants, 89 women, 17 of which were granted – 130 men applied and 25 were granted. The success rate was 19 percent for both women and men.
During the period 2013-2016 The Swedish Research Council will distribute just over SEK 123 million.
USA is popular, as in past years. This is the nation where most applicants go on to do their postdoc.
