Cancer researcher Helena Carén has been awarded a Marie Curie Career Integration Grant. This EU grant of just over one million Swedish kronor will help Carén establish her own research group.
EU funds Research School in Neurogastroenterology
[WEB TV] Magnus Simréns research group is one of ten in Europe taking part in a new European research school in Neurogastroenterology. In total, EU is investing just over SEK 30 million in the research school.
Survey for equal funding for research
The Government has decided that The Swedish Agency for Public Management is to identify and analyze the distribution of funding for research in certain universities and colleges from a gender perspective . The government wants to know how much of the resources that go to women and men. The project also includes the study of the assessments underlying the allocation decisions.
The Swedish Cancer Society Sets New Funding Record
The Swedish Cancer Society’s research board recently presented next year’s allocation of cancer research grants. The University of Gothenburg will receive almost 46 million SEK of the total 355 million SEK allocated. Caterina Finizia and Nils Lycke are two of the successful applicants.
SEK 128 million from VR within medicine and health
Researchers at the University of Gothenburg have been allocated a combined total of SEK 128 million following the Swedish Research Council’s General Call for Applications in the fields of medicine and health. The sum awarded is equivalent to just over 13 percent of the total amount granted by the Council within the field; a decrease of five percentage points compared with last year.
