REPORT. At the end of 2014 came a new report from the Nordic Research Board, called “Joint Nordic Registers and Biobanks – A goldmine for health and welfare research”. The report notes that register-based research in health and welfare has a great potential to produce knowledge that can be used to improve the capacity of the Nordic welfare states, especially if the Nordic registers and biobanks can be coordinated in a satisfactory manner.
