Cell metabolism possible key to treating metastatic lung cancer

GRANT. Lung cancer is the cause of many deaths, mainly because it often metastasizes. Clotilde Wiel is studying the metabolism of different types of cells to understand how lung cancer cells form tumors elsewhere in the body. The Institute of Biomedicine has also carried out its advisory election of head and deputy head for the coming term. The preparatory group brought forward Marianne Quiding-Järbrink to become the new Head of Institute, and Claes Gustafsson to take over as Deputy Head of Institute. 87.5 percent of those who voted said yes to this proposal.
