COURSES. In the autumn 2024, the Sahlgrenska Academy Research Support Office will give two courses in Grant Writing. Save the date!
Grant Writing Course for Early Career Researchers
The aim of this course is to provide early career researchers with the knowledge and skills necessary to write a successful application for research funding. The course consists of three half-day sessions and will include seminars, group exercises and feedback sessions (on your own application). We will provide detailed advice on grant writing and tips on how to pursue a successful research career.
Dates:
Session 1: Monday 14 October (8.30 – 12.00)
Session 2: Friday 18 October (8.30 – 12.00)
Session 3: Thursday 7 November (8.30 – 12.00) or Friday 8 November (8.30 – 12.00)
Requirements for participation: Actively working on your own application for research funding.
Registration of interest to take the course opens late spring 2024.
Writing a competitive application for a Swedish Research Council or Forte grant
The course is aimed at both junior and senior researchers who intend to apply for grants from VR and/or Forte in spring 2025. Research advisors and a scientific editor will give concrete tips regarding the outline of your project plan. Researchers who sat as reviewers for VR or Forte will share their experiences.
Dates:
Monday 2 and Tuesday 3 December 2024 (09:00 – 16:00)
Requirements for participation: Draft of your application.
Registration of interest to take the course opens early autumn 2024. Head of institutes will have the opportunity to nominate researchers for this course.
The courses are given in English.
