Every year, the Asthma and Allergy Association’s Research Fund awards Kerstin Hejdenberg’s scholarship to doctoral students who research allergic diseases in children.
The purpose of the scholarship is to encourage research into the psychological and social dimensions of the allergic disease, as well as to prioritize research that can lead to improved communication between healthcare professionals and patients. The scholarships are the Research Fund’s way of supporting young researchers early in their careers.
