From 19 February 2024, it will be possible to apply for funding through the Grants and Innovation Office for collaborative initiatives involving parties outside academia. This funding opportunity is named Academy and Society. The aim of the programme is to lower the threshold for knowledge exchange and to promote mutual benefit between research and teaching staff and non-academic partners.
More information on the application procedure and on the activities that can be funded can be found on the Academy and Society information page on the Staff Portal: Academy and Society – Staff Portal – University of Gothenburg (gu.se).
General terms
- All research and teaching staff (including doctoral students) from all disciplines at the University of Gothenburg are eligible to apply. The criterion is that a person is employed by GU and actually gets his salary paid by GU. VGR/SU employees can be included in an application where at least one person is employed at GU, but then their time cannot be covered, only the GU employee’s time and extra costs, such as room rent to organize a workshop with external partners.
- Amounts between 15,000 and 50,000 SEK including overheads can be granted for activities to be carried out so that they can be reported no later than 15 November 2024.
- The application form will open 19 February and can be accessed via the link on the above-mentioned information page.
An online Q&A session on the programme will take place on 22 February, 12.00-13.00, and can be accessed via Teams.
The application deadline is 27 March 2024, at 14:00.
