The Natrium building on Medicinareberget is one of the nominees in the Building of the Year competition. It is the civil engineering sector’s most prestigious award, which is awarded every year by the construction industry journal Byggindustrin. The winners will be announced at a gala on March 19, 2024. Natrium makes it possible for the University of Gothenburg to gather large parts of its activities within the Faculty of Science. The project includes two seven-storey buildings and an intermediate part. It contains advanced lab environments, teaching rooms and offices. If awarded, Akademiska Hus will receive the prize.
