Ingrid Wernstedt Asterholm is now professor of physiology

Akademiliv congratulates Ingrid Wernstedt Asterholm, who is now a professor of physiology at the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology. Ingrid Wernstedt Asterholm has a broad interest in physiology, particularly metabolic and endocrine regulation, as well as how the body adapts its function to various types of stressors. The group is currently focusing on the function of adipose tissue, conducting both basic and translational research. The overall goal is to identify new mechanisms for metabolic regulation in health and disease.
