Two researchers at Sahlgrenska Academy, both from the Institute of Neuroscience and Physiology, received VR grants in calls other than those directed towards medical or natural sciences. Malin Antonsson, a postdoctoral researcher in the Section for Health and Rehabilitation, received SEK 6,615,000 within the humanities and social sciences for her project “Consequences of acquired brain injury or post-COVID on language and communication – the interplay between subjective and objective difficulties over time.” Simon Skau, a postdoctoral researcher in the Section for Clinical Neuroscience, received establishment grant within the call for educational sciences, amounting to SEK 3,991,000. The project title is “The neurocognitive mechanisms of mathematical cognition in school: impact of cognitive load, proactive control, and geometric information in 9-year-olds.”
