Representatives from all ten Swedish institutions offering biomedical analyzer training programs convened in Gothenburg on October 10-11. Hosted by the biomedical analyzer program at Sahlgrenska Academy, the meeting centered on “The future professional role of biomedical analyzers – how programs address this?” Discussions spanned topics such as a new curriculum, teacher recruitment, healthcare career paths, and future competencies. A session on broadened recruitment and inclusion was also held. Representatives from the Swedish Higher Education Authority (UKÄ) described the planned 2024 evaluation of the programs. Next year’s networking meeting is scheduled for Linköping.
