The Foundation for Strategic Research, SSF, turns 30 next year and allocates a total of 58 million SEK for “SSF Sabbatical 2024”, with a maximum of 3 million SEK per project, during the period of 2024 – 2027.
The program gives researchers the opportunity to take one to two sabbatical years abroad where the research will take place in a different discipline or sector than the person currently works in. The research must be within SSF’s priority areas: natural science, technology or medicine.
Who can apply?
Researchers who are employed full-time as a senior lecturer or professor at a Swedish university or college have the opportunity to apply. The location of the sabbatical must be a university, industry, healthcare provider, major research infrastructure or a research institute.
The purpose of the call is to give the researcher the opportunity to broaden their horizons, both internationally and multidisciplinary, and thus to open up to new bold ideas and ways of thinking at home.
The application must be in English and sent no later than March 5, 2024 at 2 p.m.
The project must start between July 1 and December 31, 2024.
