The Japan-Sweden University collaboration MIRAI 2.0 will organize a Research and Innovation week on November 13-17, 2023 in Umeå, Sweden. The program consist of joint activities and scientific workshops within the thematic areas: Ageing, Sustainability, Materials science, Artificial Intelligence, Innovation and Entrepreneurship as well as several transdisciplinary sessions. PhD-students, early-career researchers and senior researchers at the University of Gothenburg are welcome to apply for travel grants to join the conference.

The conference has a limit in number of participants per university. You register your interest and apply for the travel grant via this online form, no later than September 1: https://sunet.artologik.net/gu/Survey/25659 (handled by International Centre)
Join the Research and Innovation week to:
- Connect with Swedish and Japanese researchers, funding agencies and non-academic actors
- Participate in joint activities/workshops
- Present your research and deepen/develop new collaborations.
- Access funding for collaborative projects
The aim is to create links between Swedish and Japanese researchers that can lead to stronger collaborations and joint projects. Within the MIRAI collaboration, activities such as digital workshops are regularly organized to strengthen long-term collaborations between Swedish ad Japanese researchers.
