New management for the Department of Rheumatology and Inflammation Research

Helena Forsblad d’Elia over as new head of department for the Department of Rheumatology and Inflammation Research on 1 September. At the same time, Mattias Svensson becomes the new deputy head of department. Helena Forsblad d’Elia is professor, and chief physician at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. As the new head of department, she wants to stimulate increased collaboration and exchange with other research groups, both within and outside Gothenburg University, and also to strengthen collaboration with the Rheumatology Clinic at SU. Mattias Svensson has had his own group in the department since 2020. He believes that he will benefit from his international contacts from his time as a postdoc in the work of developing the department.
