Stefan Nilsson is now a professor of nursing

Akademiliv congratulates Stefan Nilsson on his professorship in nursing! His research focuses on children and young people based on a person-centred child rights perspective. The research group is cross-professional and the research takes place in collaboration with a number of universities nationally and internationally, including in Brazil, Denmark, South Africa and the USA. The research develops and evaluates new methods for symptom relief, for such as pain and fear. Another focus of the research is to facilitate communication with people with disabilities through the support of universal design. Stefan also has a combination position at the children’s cancer center where he collaborates with the Regional Cancer Center to facilitate knowledge transfer between families and the healthcare staff.
