Sahlgrenska Academy announces travel grants from Knut and Alice Wallenberg foundation, financed by surplus from earlier years. Travel grant will only be awarded for international congresses subject to the precondition that active participation is planned, i.e. as a speaker or person responsible for poster presentation. The travel period is between Sept 16th 2023 and Sept 15th 20224.
Eligibility
Applicants must be either PhD-students admitted to Sahlgrenska Academy or employed at Sahlgrenska Academy. The employment cannot be as senior lecturer or professor. Normally a person with “docent” can’t apply. You can’t apply for a conference in 2023 if you already have been given a travel grant from Sahlgrenska Academy this year. The travel is not allowed to start earlier than Travel grants are given in fixed sums. European countries (incl Iceland) is 8 000 SEK and outside Europe is 10 000 SEK. The indirect costs of the fixed sums will also be covered by the travel grant. Congresses in Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark is 4000 SEK and will only be funded if there is funding available.
