KAW Foundation & SciLifeLab – Proof of Concept in Life Science Grant

With the aim to bridge the funding gap between academic research and innovation and commercialization in life science, Knut and Alice Wallenberg Foundation and SciLifeLab are launching a new Proof of Concept Grant in Life Science. This grant gives researchers the opportunity to develop their early-stage discoveries towards validated methods, products or processes. The ambition of the grant program is to facilitate innovation and value for society that arises from excellent academic research.

Eligible to apply are those who have or have had grants from the Wallenberg Foundations or are part of KAWs strategic initiatives.

Emphasis should be placed on how the researcher intends to verify the usefulness and suitability of a new method, product or process developed from research, as well as activities that prepare this for innovation or commercialisation.
