Juan Lantero Rodriguez, now a postdoctoral fellow at the Department of Psychiatry and Neurochemistry, receives the faculty-wide award Thesis of the Year at Sahlgrenska Academy 2022. In his thesis “Novel cerebrospinal fluid and blood tau biomarkers in Alzheimer’s disease and other neurodegenerative diseases” he has developed new biomarkers for Alzheimer’s and other neurodegenerative diseases that can be measured in blood. Akademiliv will get back with an interview with Juan. Other laureates at institute level are: Anna Wenger (biomedicine), Axel Stenmark Tullberg (clinical sciences), Malin Henriksson (medicine), Erik Lindgren (neuroscience and physiology), Anna Liss (odontology) samt Matilda Cederberg (health and care sciences).
