SAHLGRENSKA LIFE. The rental proposal that Vitartes submitted in December has now been evaluated. The University of Gothenburg has made the decision to reject the proposal. The Västra Götaland region has come to the same conclusion.
The reasons are the financial terms of the agreement and the model for implementation.
“The collaboration between Project Managers, Architects, and representatives from the concerned institutes at the Sahlgrenska Academy has resulted in good solutions that meet the needs of premises for research and education in the future,” says Eric Hanse, Vice Dean responsible for premises.
Eric continues:
“These wishes remain, but we also feel a great responsibility for the faculty’s finances going forward. Development of premises always comes with a cost, but at this point we need to be particularly careful in our assessments prior to an investment of this magnitude”
Soon, alternative ways of implementing the project are to be investigated.
