The Research Leader Initiative will be given for the 9th time and is now open for nominations from all departments at the University of Gothenburg. The initiative is designed for our future research leaders and covers leadership, group development, ethics, gender, grant writing and utilisation. The course will be given on eight separate occasions between August 2023 and May 2024. With a hands-on approach, focus will be on practical elements based on each participant’s situation. Participants will acquire tools and methods that are directly and individually applicable in their role as research leaders.
Programme 2023 – 2024
- All sessions start at 8.30 and end at 16.30. Participants must attend a minimum of 7 (of 8) sessions to receive a certificate of a completed programme.August 25: Introduction & the participant’s individual research aims. Location: Birgit Thilander, Medicinaregatan 3
- September 21-22 (overnight): Leadership – How to coach and develop your group. Location: Aspenäs Herrgård, Seatons allé 33
- October 13: Preconditions for high quality research, research strategies & does and don’ts in project management.. Location: Wallenberg, Antarktis, Medicinaregatan 20a
- November 9: Feedback and other leadership tools for development and high performance. Location: Birgit Thilander, Medicinaregatan 3.
- December 8: Research Impact, Utilization & Immaterial rights. Location: Birgit Thilander, Medicinaregatan 3.
January 11-12 (overnight): Grant Writing. Location: Marstrand Havshotell, Varvskajen 2 - April 26: Ethics & Research data management. Location: Birgit Thilander, Medicinaregatan 3
- May 24: Individual presentations of goals & strategies for the future. Location: Ågrenska villan, Högåsplatsen 2
