In May, University of Gothenburg changes bank for salary payments from Nordea to Swedbank. All staff must then have registered their usual salary account with Swedbank, in order for the salary to be transferred correctly. Many have already notified Swedbank which account they have, for example to be able to receive electricity support from the Social Insurance Agency. In that case please check that everything looks correct. If you have not registered your salary account with Swedbank, you need to do so by April 30 at the latest, but preferably as soon as possible.
If you have a Swedish bank account
A Swedish bank account is most easily registered with your e-identification (BankID) via Swedbank’s website. If you do not have a BankID, you can visit a Swedbank branch office.
If you have already registered a bank account for, for example, payment of electricity support (elstöd) and want to receive your salary in that account, you do not have to register the account again. Please visit Swedbank’s web page to check if you have the correct bank account registered.
You do not need to become a Swedbank customer to register a bank account. In Swedbank’s account register, you can register an account from any Swedish bank.
If you are on sick leave, parental leave or leave of abscence you must also register a bank account for salary payment.
If you have a foreign account
If you have a foreign account, you need to visit one of Swedbank’s branch offices to register a bank account. If you are not in Sweden, please contact your nearest HR function at your institution/unit.
