General practitioner Steffen Bové, working at the Älvpraktikens care center in Kungälv, has received the award “General Practitioner of the Year” at the School of Public Health and Community Medicine at the Institute of Medicine. The award is given to one of the general practitioners who participates practically in the doctors’ basic training. The selection group (members from both the University of Gothenburg and the Region Västra Götaland) chose from several submitted proposals. The central selection criteria for being nominated were: Good knowledge of general medicine, striving for availability and continuity in the work, demonstrating a humane attitude and emphasizing the patient’s own story.
