The Elderly Research Council was established in 2019 with the aim of promoting dialogue between the government and researchers in the field of the elderly. The Elderly Research Council provides the government the opportunity to gather facts and opinions regarding policy development in priority issues and inform itself about current and relevant research. Ingmar Skoog is a professor of psychiatry at the University of Gothenburg, and one of 15 members of the Elderly Research Council.
