The faculty begins the preparation process to appoint the dean and vice dean for the next term of office

Agneta Holmäng’s and Henrik Hagberg’s terms of office as dean and vice-dean respectively end on 31 December 2023, which means that the faculty needs to start a preparation process to appoint a dean and vice-dean for the term 2024-2029. The faculty board has now tasked the joint faculty election committee (also called the Nominating Committee) to begin a selection process for these assignments in consultation with the vice-chancellor. According to the Work Regulations at the University of Gothenburg (GU 2022/1764), the dean and vice-dean are appointed by the vice-chancellor after an advisory election at the faculty. In accordance with the rules of procedure, a joint faculty selection committee must work for an open and transparent process.
