After a discussion at an extraordinary meeting on January 9, the University Board chooses to continue the recruitment process for a new vice chancellor as planned. The background is criticism of a lack of transparency from representatives in the consultative assembly. 13 teacher representatives of the total of 70 who are part of the consultative assembly have in a letter expressed the opinion that the selection process needs to start over with an open application procedure, and also that the two candidates who remain do not fully meet the requirement profile. The University Board however does not agree with the criticism. Chairman of the board Peter Larsson will report on the work of the recruitment group and the university board at the meeting of the consultative assembly on Wednesday 11 January.
