The research platform ENABLE-2, with its hub at Uppsala University, is a national platform that supports research projects that are focused on developing new antibiotics and other antibacterial drugs. The Swedish Research Council is now investing 25 new million in ENABLE-2 and a second call was therefore launched on 20 December 2022, where researchers can apply for support to find new drugs against bacterial infections. Academics and small and medium-sized companies in Sweden are eligible to submit a three-page expression of interest, with information about their antibacterial program. Gram-negative programs will be prioritized.
